 This quilt was pieced and quilted by Ann and myself for a private day school. So cute!
Sometimes we take a break from quilting and make useful sewing items in our classes such as these adorable Owl place mats.

Today was the second class for Circle of Hope in which 5 ladies started last Saturday. I only got pictures of two of the quilts in progress so far. Also, here is Marta's thirties reproductions quilt in which the center is paper pieced.

So far 11 entries are in for our NORTHCOTT SOLIDS CHALLENGE. Monday is the deadline for entries. I plan to have all the photo's taken and entered onto our web site for voting. Voting will end on May 13 with the winner announced May 14. This is the fabric the manufacture sent for prizes. They were very generous! The kit is for a free downloadable pattern and includes batting and thread! Check the web site next week so you can vote too!

 These ladies were able to finish their quilt within hours using the sew and turn right side out method to make these adorable baby girl quilts. |

 Look at the pretty sunflowers in this table runner! Course we are out of the fabric already, Joyce did a great job interpeting the pattern I designed last year. We used Cardinals last year as the focus print. Our next show and tell is of Janet's "Ten Minute Table Runner". Man, have these been a hit around here! We have several kits for the runner already cut and are happy to cut any combination you would like to make the runner. It really doesn't take ten minutes to finish but it's fun to "out beat" yourself with the previous one. Hint, you can't make just one! It's always a day for show and tell around here at Buttonwood Quilts. Today Sandy Floyd came in with her version of "Soldier's Pride". This is a sampler quilt we have as a block of the month however, Sandy chose not to do the block of the month but rather a smaller version and she's already got it quilted and bound! Good job Sandy! |
